Our Rates
Rates for written translations may be applied in two ways
according to:
1) Number of words; or
2) Number of standard translation pages (one standard translation
page is 1800 characters with spaces or 1500 characters without
spaces).
Generally, rates depend on how common the particular language is
(the more uncommon the language in the respective market, the
higher the rate), the complexity of the source text, for instance,
fiction would require special adaptation (higher rate would apply),
whether the source text is from an electronic file or as a hard
copy (for the latter higher rates would apply) or whether a layout
design is required (higher rate would apply).
Terms of delivery also determine the rates. Consideration
should be made that on average a professional translator translates
approx. 5-7 standard translation pages (1 standard translation page
is 1800 characters with spaces) per day. In the event of
translation being required urgently, an express service rate shall
apply, which is charged in addition to the regular service rate in
an amount ranging from 50% to 100%. For our regular Clients we may
provide express translations without extra charge.
We can offer discounts for written translations in large
quantities where the number of pages exceeds 50.
The prices for layout designing, text conversion and other
services are set on an hourly basis and based on the number of
hours required for accomplishing the particular task.
An hourly tariff is also applied for the pricing of
interpreting services. Here the price also includes passive
interpreting (time spent by the interpreter on the way to and from
the interpreting location).
